Make sure that your web emails access is via secure (https) connections, or that your regular mail is over an encrypted connection as well. If you an anti virus you have to always update it. Because the virus and spyware are updated day by day.
Be careful too in choosing your username and passwords. Be careful when paying with your credit card and debit cards, make sure you are in a “trusted” website by knowing if the site where you submit payment is on HTTPS and if the company has a customer support that you can call in case you have questions and concerns.
